Welcome
It is a great pleasure to invite you to attend the IUPAC 39th International Conference on Solution Chemistry which will be held for the first time in Africa in Rosa Beach Hotel, in Monastir town, Tunisia, from 14-17 September 2025 under the joint auspices of international steering committee of the ICSC, International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC), Tunisian Chemical Society (TCS) as co-organizer, and the University of Monastir.
International Conferences on Solution Chemistry (ICSC) organized every two years in different countries over the world, have always brought together chemists (professors, researchers, engineers and doctoral students) of different nationalities to discuss up-to-date fundamentals innovations and new technologies and applications related to physicochemical processes in solution chemistry governed by solvent-solute and solute-solute interactions in liquid phase.
Tunisia will amaze you with the natural beauty of its landscapes, in particular the blue of its sky, the greenery of its mountains, its large fields of citrus fruits and olive trees, its beautiful oases and palm groves, the shine of its silvery beaches, its multicolored salt lakes and the undulations of its Saharan dunes, etc.
It will impress you with its rich history old of 30 centuries and its cultural diversity issued from heritage of Caspian, Phoenician, Roman, Christian, Berber and Islamic civilizations, and above all by the hospitality of its citizens.
On the cultural and scientific level, Tunisia has given rise to three Nobel Prizes. The first one was attributed in 1928 to Charles Nicolle, Director of the Pasteur Institute of Tunis, received "for his work on the typhus." The second is the 2015 Nobel Peace Prize and third is the 2023 Nobel Prize in Chemistry awarded to the Tunisian-French-American Prof. Mongi BAWENDI for his research on "Nano-boxes or quantum dots: QDs". On the other hand, some Tunisian Universities are ranked among the top thousands.
Tunisia is very attractive country with a great position and could be a “meeting point” for scientists all over the world.
39th ICSC 2025 will be held in one of the foremost lovely coastal touristic region of Tunisia, the region of Sahel especially Monastir (Ruspina) which is an important both university and touristic City, rigorously secure.
We look forward to meeting you at ICSC 2025, in Monastir.

Accomodation & Venue

The International Conference on Chemistry Solution ICSC 2025 will be held in Rosa Beach Hotel in Monastir town, located in the wonderful  touristic resort of the Sahel region. Welcoming participants, distribution of documents and check in  will start on Sunday 14 September 2025 from 14:00. Departure from the hotel will be on Wednesday 1700 September 2025 after lunch.
The Hotel's name will be specified soon.

Monastir in a few words
Monastir, located 160 km south of Tunis, is a beautiful seaside resort with vast stretches of sand and rocks. The city has a rich history, having been occupied by various dynasties, including the Phenicians, Romans, Byzantines, Arabs, Spaniards, and Ottoman Turks. The city's Ribat, designed in 796, is a fortress made from a superposition of fortified buildings. Visitors can explore the medina, which features famous old doors like Bab el Gharbi, Bab Tunis, and Bab Brichka. The Sahel region, between the coast and interior, is rich in Tunisian heritage, including archaeological sites like Lamta and El Jem, and its famous coliseum hosting an international classical music festival. Monastir is easily connected to the surrounding area, particularly Sousse, via buses, rental cars, cabs, and the metro.
How to get to Monastir
From Tunis-Carthage Airport
Get a taxi to get to Tunis
As the Rosa Beach Hotel is located near Monastir airport (2 km on foot, 4 km by car), so it is best to find a direct flight to Monastir airport to avoid traveling to Tunis for public transport.
If your flight landed in Tunis Carthage airport, take a yellow taxi to your chosen public transport. Avoid Bolt and similar services as they are expensive. Ensure the taxi driver uses the meter.
The following link seems to be a fair private service for a group of 04 people.
By Louage
(A type of van for 8 people)
The Louage station is at Moncef Bey in the capital. If you choose this option, avoid answering anyone who tries to help you. Go inside the station, pay for your ticket at the counter (max. 20 Tunisian dinars) and get in the van for Monastir. As soon as the 8 seats are full, the driver will leave. Ask him to drop you in front of the hotel.
.

+ Fast and frequent (during the day)
- Public transport
By Bus
Public Transport
The bus station for Monastir is in Bab Alioua. It is a station for internal regional lines.
Ask one of the ticket office staff if there is a service to Monastir or Sousse. Timetables are generally adhered to.
Boarding is in the station's internal car park. Ask which bus goes to Monastir or Sousse.

+ Cheap prices
- Not always available,
sometimes very crowded.
By train
Public Transport
The main train station is in Place Barcelone. There is a direct train to Monastir (once a day), or you can take the train to Sousse (frequent service) and then change to the metro to Monastir.
Timetables may vary depending on the day and the season of the year
